Rainy Day

Hola! I’m up in here once again to blog up some things in my inventory that need not stay in there forever and ever. It’s actually quite the sunny day outside right now, but I’ve been feeling like my only time available for blogging or taking pictures are rainy days. Rainy days for me would be days without any sports or social activities going on and I can take the time to put together a post. I’d love to be out in the Sun today, but it’s deceiving as it’s a bit cool today at 31°F. Thus, you get a post from me! Are you excited!? Okay now calm down your excitement because my pics are not that amazing. Let’s get into it:

NYE 2010

You know you’re either doing it right now or are going to do it some time today. I’ve done it a few times where I’m searching and searching, but break down and just go with an old standby. You need to find that suit that’s going to get you through New Year’s Eve. Often I’ve found my suit 30min before shoving off to a NYE party. Thankfully I had this one cleaned, pressed, and sent my way c/o Jura Shepherd for Shiki Designs, so let’s get into it:

Blacken Out The Sun

What the eff? I still have a blog? No friggin way. Lies I tell you, all lies. For many of you who read my blog, it’s summer time, and with the summer comes many things to do outdoors. Now, when adding up the many summer time activities plus not really all that much inspiration to post lately plus the World Cup going on = no post for 3 weeks. Although if you actually follow my blog (the few and the not so proud), it’s not like I blog on a regular basis here. I mean come on. Alright alright, more about summer time and less about my procrastination. So if you’ve crawled out of your deepest, darkest hole to enjoy some sunlight lately, you may have ended up like me at an opening day for my beloved Milwaukee Brewers. What I mean by “ended up like me” is that you completely forgot that the giant, yellow ball in the sky has the capability of turning your pasty, white skin into a gorgeous, freshly-boiled lobster red (screams included and some wear their sunburn with pride). As many in the southern hemisphere know about, I went with a nice black look here to soak up some of those rays and not let it hit my skin. Then again if I were as tan as I am in SL, I really wouldn’t have to worry about it all that much. Ch-check out the look and deets after the jump:

#1 In The Hood G

Happy Sunday! And yes, I realized I missed a Sunday in there without a post. My apologies, but I had a lot going on last weekend. I’ve had so much backed up and purchased that I felt the need to throw three looks into this one. Please excuse the fact that they’re all blue, but realize that two of the three do come in a multitude of colors. Let’s hit it.

The Hood Collage

Okay, so maybe it’s 100% obvious that I didn’t shoot these in any place that would be considered the hood. I went seaside with these because two of my looks have dock shoes and those would probably look a bit awkward in a “hood” setting. All three of these hoodies are on the new-ish side and they all have different personalities that I felt when I put each of them on. Thus, let’s get into those personalities now.

Well Suited

I’m back again with a few things that got caught into my backlog. So a long while back Shiryu Musashi of Musashi Do dropped these great suits on me with his new InfiniTie system in them. What I mean by a long while back is… I wore one of the suits to a big New Year’s Eve party. I had almost given up hope that I’d actually get my ass in gear and blog them, but I finally decided that this would be the perfect time to blog them. Alright, enough of my crazy talk here’s the pic:

Well Suited

The collection of suits that I have here are all inspired by cities in Italy (Rome, Torino, and Milan) and they’re all very fantastically crafted suits. For my explanations here we’ll work this group of suits as it’s setup left to right. Please also note that because I was given all of these suits, I did a lot of mixing and matching to get the ties that I liked. To be honest, I don’t think any of the ties I have above originally come with any of the suits.

Quickies #2

Oh snap! I stuck to my guns and am posting when I said I was going to post this weekend. No way! 😉 I even had to new pics because… okay I won’t get into it, but let’s just say I needed to take a back-side shot and somebody returned something that they shouldn’t have. Then that somebody decided they needed to make up for it and replaced the other thing. Confused enough? I think I confused myself trying to keep it so mysterious. Alright, shutting my mouth for now and look at the pic:

Quickie #2

Starting it out here is the obvious focal piece of this look, this fantastic Elliot sweater from CheerNo. CheerNo has always been on the bleeding edge of the editorial male fashion. I remember seeing one of his first fashion shows ever back in 2008 through JM Models. A friend of mine who was, and still is, a model with them told me about the show and I showed up. Let’s just say I wasn’t ready for it yet. lol It was a bit too editorial for me and I really didn’t have the knowledge to completely grasp the concept of the line. Fast forward to last week and I saw a very cool opera house build with a runway that looped around and a sim packed with people to see the latest and greatest from CheerNo. It was one of the final shows at the Menswear fashion week and it was very cool. A lot of the designs I did see at the other show that CheerNo had themselves, but they did throw in a couple of exclusive looks. I digress (a lot). Out of CheerNo’s latest collection this is definitely my fave piece. I picked it up in this nice, crisp blue and even though I have some friends who have given me crap about it, I don’t care… I’m still wearing it. 😛 I love the big cowl neck on it and how it extends even further down onto the stomach. It’s just a supremely well put-together sweater and definitely something a bit eye-catching.

The other main thing I wanted to talk about here is the shoes. It’s one of two pair new pairs from Jeepers Creepers that you’re going to see in these Quickies posts. The ones featured in this look are the Sebastian shoes in midnight. I think what drew me to them the most are the perforations that are all over the shoes. I’ve seen other shoes with the perforations, but these hit the color I was looking for to match the sweater and just kept on target with the latest and greatest fashion trends. The texture on them even has a little bit of scuffing, so it gives a nice vintage appeal as well.

The pants I yanked out of the Evening In Roma suit from Musashi Do and I’ll feature a couple of Shiryu’s suits in a Quickie post to come. I’ll hit you with two of his very nice suits and get into his InfiniTie system. That’s long overdue. Anyway, that’s what I’ve got for this post. I’ll come back around and get you guys next week. I’ll also have a joint-post coming out with a friend in the near future, but we haven’t figured out where it’ll go yet. Details details. 😉 Have a fantastic rest of your weekend everybody!

Negro y Blanco

Why hello good fashion people in the SL universe! So it’s been you know…forever since I posted and I totally recognize this absence. I’ve had a pretty rough go at finding time and really the inspiration to post. A lot of things that I’ve been digging lately fall under the black and white umbrella. I don’t know if that’s just what has become the most pleasant to my eyes or really what the deal is, but I thought I would bring to you my finds in black and white. Here’s what I came up with:

Edge
Edge

This look is actually partially based off a look that I used for a post that Alan, a friend of mine, used for the Glance International blog, minus the sweater actually so I could show off the mastery of the contrast piping on this shirt from Whippet & Buck. They have a bunch of different colors for this shirt, other faves would be the green pea & alabaster and taupe grey & cherry blossom, but as I mentioned before, the black and white just struck the right chord to my eyes. You may see those other colors show up later posts. 😉 I’ll hop to the bottom now before I jump up to the top. On the bottom we’ve got these really fantastic mid-high tops from 2Real. A friend of mine, yes again to the friend connection, mentioned that she had a friend who had made a really great pair of shoes. I was slightly skeptical at first, but when I got the shoes I was really blown away. I actually had a different pair of sneakers from a much more notable designer on my feet and set into my photo above. I wasn’t happy with the head-to-toe look of the pose I had and then I got these shoes and knew I had to throw them in right away. These Diagonals from 2Real are really a fantastic pair of shoes. 2Real gives you 10 pairs of shoes at L$399 each with his own style and flare to them, but then he also has a pair of customizable ones for L$600 that come with a HUD much like AKEYO and UBU provide you. I would say the HUD is much more equivalent to the one that AKEYO provides than UBU. Now, we jump back up to the top. I wouldn’t have even known that this Buried store existed if it wasn’t for a plurk that I saw about how much somebody loved Marilyn’s blog. Okay, so maybe soon after I found Marilyn’s blog LE LOOK announced they were bringing on Buried into their mega-fashionopolis, but nonetheless it’s still great hair. It’s a bit onto the scene/emo side of hair, but the textures are fantastic. I just about always wear blacks, but to be honest I would consider venturing outside of my blacks for the Buried textures.

Resort
Resort

Moving on to the second look I put together here, it’s more of a winter ski resort look. Let’s see where to begin, where to begin. We’re going top down on this one. The first thing I need to speak on is the knit collar from LeLutka. Knit collars are very in for Fall/Winter and seeing as they came from LeLutka you just know that they’re fantastically textured. They have a couple of different versions available and many many colors to choose from. They’re also a steal at only L$100 apiece. Next on the trip down we’ve got this really cool sweater from INDI Designs. I actually pulled it out of the Nathan outfit. I think my favorite part about the sweater is that it’s obviously a holiday sweater, but it’s not all up in your face with the red and green that you usually get out of the holiday sweaters. I dig the subtle holiday feel to it. Another piece that I wanted to talk about is these awesome fingerless gloves from Reek. I mean I don’t even really need to talk about how awesome they are…just look at ’em. 🙂 And they’re perfect for many SL winters to come. Plus, there’s a free pair of light blue ones with a scarf that have a snowflake graphic on them for the Down the Chimney Hunt going on right now. The seriously final thing I wanted to talk about here because I’ve worn jeans from this store many times, including for my Style Guy article, are the new Jeanity jeans from Valiant Fashions. Wavie Haller put together an excellent lineup of new jeans and I really like the new sculpted bottoms for the jeans. You have to like it when a jean designer recognizes that their sculpted prim needs to make room for the shoes at the front and Wavie’s do that very well.

That just about covers everything I’ve got on this one. I hope you all enjoyed it and I’ll be back to speak on some more stuff soon, I just can’t guarantee how soon that’ll be. Have some happy holidays everybody and stay fashionable!
